What Motivates Us

We started breeding these wonderful animals back in 1983. Originally, we did not plan to operate as a professional Dog Breeder, we just wanted a wonderful pet for ourselves. However, we fell in love with this amazing bread and wanted to share them with our community.

Many of our puppies went off to do amazing things; ranking top of their class, K9 Service Dog, and several went on to be specially trained military working dogs called Multi-Purpose Canines (MPCs).

Even though German Sheperd’s are our passion we have not had a litter in 20 years. We decided to focus on our efforts in raising our family pets and our children. Now that our children are grown, we decided to refocus on our love of German Sheperds

Animal Welfare Come First

At O'Dell German Sheperd, we continue to care about our animals long after they leave us. As such, it’s our strict policy to only sell to individuals; we will never sell to pet shops or brokers. To make sure our animals get the forever home they deserve, we carefully interview all potential owners. Contact us to find out more about the process or to get on our waiting list.
